Principles of Movement
Andrew Staib has developed 10 principles to help students move effortlessly around the treatment couch in a grounded, spontaneous way. As well as Shiatsu practitioners, massage therapists and acupuncturists have also found these themes to be highly supportive for their bodies as they work.
The Principles emphasis is on how the practitioner can be grounded in their legs and feet when giving the treatment whilst being free, sensitive and spontaneous in their upper body.
All these Principles as well as demonstrations of useful exercises to develop these skills are shown in the Table Shiatsu DVD.
